Role overview
The Finance and Audit IT Application team within RBC’s Global Functions Technology organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Support.
The role manages application support for a portfolio of applications and leads teams delivering production service.
The position partners with IT, business lines, third-party vendors, and senior leaders.
Application support
- Maintain stringent service-level agreements and monitor availability, response-time, and error-rate metrics.
- Manage global Level 2 and Level 3 support teams across geographies and time zones with 24/7 coverage.
- Lead complex production incident resolution, own escalations, and communicate status and impact to senior management.
- Communicate application health, maintenance plans, risks, and recommended actions to business leaders.
- Translate complex technical issues into business impact for Director- and MD-level stakeholders.
Resilience and observability
- Lead disaster recovery drills and tabletop exercises, document findings, and drive remediation of identified gaps.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Network teams on redundancy, backup strategies, and geo-redundancy.
