Key Responsibilities
- Lead the institutional academic assessment strategy, framework, and roadmap across all academic divisions.
- Oversee the design, verification, moderation, and quality assurance of formative, summative, and competency-based assessments.
- Ensure alignment with CAA standards, course and program learning outcomes, and specialized accreditation criteria.
- Champion assessment technologies, analytics dashboards, learning management system integrations, and practical AI applications.
- Manage assessment teams and collaborate with senior academic leadership to drive evidence-based decision-making.
Key Skills Required
- Academic assessment strategy, including framework design, moderation, standardization, and high-stakes examination integrity.
- Deep knowledge of CAA standards, qualification frameworks, and program accreditations.
- Proficiency with learning management systems such as Canvas or Blackboard, digital assessment tools, AI applications, and performance dashboards.
- Strategic planning, change management, decision-making, and cross-functional team management.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Measurement, Assessment, Curriculum & Instruction, or Institutional Effectiveness.
- Doctorate or Ph.D. is preferred.
- At least eight years of professional experience in higher education academic assessment, quality assurance, or institutional effectiveness.
- Three to five years of senior management experience within a higher education institution.
- Demonstrated experience executing system-wide assessment strategies, managing accreditation reviews, and using assessment data for academic enhancement.
