Role Overview
Provide instruction in assigned General Studies courses and at least two areas of the assigned program or discipline.
Teach undergraduate courses to second-language learners in a student-centered environment.
Adjunct faculty are temporary teaching staff who bring practical knowledge and varied experience to enhance student learning.
Responsibilities
- Teach regular program courses, capstone projects, work experience, and senior-level specialized courses.
- Participate in academic and extracurricular events at the college and in the community.
- Support outreach activities and participate in applied research where appropriate.
- Foster respect for students, their cultures, and their traditions.
Qualifications
- A relevant master's degree and professional certification are required.
- A bachelor's degree may be considered with extensive industry experience and industry certification.
- Appropriate academic professional qualifications are required for the discipline.
- At least five years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
Schedule and Workload
- Teaching assignments are made according to institutional need.
- The teaching load may not exceed nine credits per semester.
- Workdays are normally Monday through Friday, with hours based on the teaching schedule and generally between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
