Responsibilities
- Provide machinery control system engineering support including design reviews, studies, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Define and document surveillance and administration programs for critical Control Systems to achieve high reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Define and document best practices and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and/or Technical Authority in area of specialization.
- Manage plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions as required.
- Control and supervise activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing integrity and reliability systems.
- Define Competency development plan and mentor National Developees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment
- Experience in Turbo Machinery control Applications (GE, CCC, or Triconex)
- Knowledgeable of relevant international standards (IEC, ANSI/ISA, API RP)
- Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
- Computer literate and competent with engineering software tools

Job Purpose
- Provide a variety of Machinery Control Engineering support to contribute to department objectives in meeting Company strategy. Perform as Subject Matter Expert and as Technical Authority in Machinery control area.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Provide a variety of machinery control system engineering support including design reviews, studies, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
- Define and document surveillance and administration programs for critical Control Systems to achieve high standards of reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and/or as Technical Authority in area of specialization.
- Manage plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities, meeting the section and division KPIs.
- Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements.
- Control and supervise the activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
- Define Competency development plan and mentor National Developees to develop their capabilities and their knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Knowledge and Experience
- 10 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Experience in Turbo Machinery control Applications such as from GE, CCC or Triconex.
- Knowledgeable of relevant international standards such as IEC, ANSI/ISA and API RP and their application is necessary.
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
