Senior Low Latency Java Lead - Vice President

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a client connectivity platform for global connectivity solutions.
• Develop low-latency solutions on the Java stack and HFT frameworks.
• Ensure business requirements are understood across delivery stages.
• Apply standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Deliver prioritized connectivity workstreams end to end with internal and external teams.
• Communicate with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, support, and technical business users.
• Establish working relationships across technology areas including QA and support.
• Provide post-implementation support while delivering enhancements and additional phases.
• Work within a global development team to leverage global tools and technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience with a low-latency Java stack.
• Experience building ultra-low-latency platforms is advantageous.
• Experience with microservices architecture is advantageous.
• Good exposure to client connectivity application development.
• Good understanding of electronic trading and financial markets.
• Experience with FIX and binary protocols.
• Experience working in a trading environment.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD, and Bitbucket.
• Strong analytical skills.

Technical Skills

• Core Java.
• FIX Protocol and binary protocols.
• Unix/Linux.
• OpenHFT and Chronicle exposure is advantageous.
