Senior Lead Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop highly scalable and robust backend software solutions.
• Drive projects from conception through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Mentor junior engineers on architecture, design, coding standards, and agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with distributed product, engineering, and business teams to deliver impactful products.
• Promote software engineering standards, coding excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Adopt emerging technologies to solve complex problems and improve platform performance.
• Explain architectural challenges, solutions, and opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record.
• At least 7 years of software development experience, primarily in backend systems.
• Expertise in Java, NodeJS, or Scala with relevant frameworks.
• Experience designing, building, and evolving large-scale, complex software projects.
• Hands-on experience developing scalable cloud-based services on AWS or Azure.
• Strong programming, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work across geographically distributed teams.

Technical environment

• Relevant data technologies include MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Kafka, and similar systems.
• The role uses cloud platforms including AWS or Azure and follows standard software engineering and agile practices.
