Responsibilities

• Build strategic reference data platforms for client business units.
• Own key projects and components through analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and deploy solutions according to engineering excellence standards.
• Apply system and enterprise architecture concepts across connected components.
• Deliver projects within agreed schedule, quality, and scope expectations.
• Participate in all software development lifecycle stages within an agile Scrum environment.
• Partner with technology vendors and understand their products.
• Enhance or re-architect components for performance and scalability.
• Provide level 3 escalation support for the application.
• Collaborate with global peers, business analysts, production support, and infrastructure teams.

Required skills

• At least 7+ years of Java experience.
• Java Core, JDBC, multithreading, collections, and I/O experience.
• Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, Kubernetes, REST, Kafka, and Redis experience.
• Unix commands and shell scripting experience.
• Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with JIRA, Harness or uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, innovation, and solution-oriented skills.
• Effective time management across multiple priorities, time zones, and timelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Scrum methodology.
• Experience with a NoSQL database.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices.
• Financial services technology experience, preferably in reference data.
• Physical and logical data modeling experience.
