Senior IT Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Own preparation and coordination of IT audits, supervisory reviews, and regulatory information requests.
• Conduct compliance and control gap assessments against UAE regulatory requirements, internal policies, and recognized best practices.
• Identify compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and technology risks.
• Define, execute, and track remediation plans with IT, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Support IT, cybersecurity, and information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Translate regulatory expectations into practical, implementable controls.
• Maintain audit-ready policies, procedures, risk assessments, and evidence repositories.
• Support regulators and external auditors on technology, cybersecurity, and operational resilience matters.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in IT compliance, IT audit, technology risk management, or related work within regulated environments.
• Knowledge of UAE financial-institution requirements for IT governance, cybersecurity, technology risk, data protection, access, change, incidents, and BCP/DR.
• Hands-on experience with IT and cybersecurity gap assessments and remediation plans.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT and their application in regulatory contexts.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections, supervisory reviews, or external IT audits.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete remediation activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and professional working proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.
• Strong analytical and risk-based mindset with attention to detail.

Compensation
