Overview

The Mastercard Intelligence Center delivers actionable intelligence to anticipate threats and support risk-based decisions.

The team analyzes geopolitical developments, cyber threats, fraud trends, physical security risks, and emerging technologies affecting Mastercard.

The center works with industry, government, and law enforcement to strengthen enterprise resilience and protect Mastercard’s global network.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, analyze, publish, and disseminate threat intelligence for Mastercard.
  • Use intelligence to inform risk-based decisions across the organization.
  • Author risk assessments describing threat impacts on business operations.
  • Brief intelligence analysis to senior and executive internal stakeholders.
  • Lead intelligence partnerships with Regional Security and Crisis Management.
  • Lead external partnerships with government, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and industry.
  • Support threat scenario development for red teaming, exercises, and resilience testing.

All About You

  • Experience collecting, evaluating, and synthesizing intelligence from diverse open-source, technical, geopolitical, cyber, fraud, or physical security sources is required.
  • A strong analytical mindset and understanding of intelligence tradecraft are required.
  • Knowledge of structured analytic techniques, threat modeling, and risk assessment methodologies is required.
  • Understanding of geopolitical, physical security, and cyber threat domains is required.
  • Experience monitoring threat activity and producing clear, actionable intelligence for technical and non-technical audiences is required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication for senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders is required.
  • Sound judgment, curiosity, and a proactive approach to threat identification are required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, political science, cybersecurity, international affairs, or a related discipline is required.

Corporate Security Responsibility

  • Employees and representatives are responsible for information security when accessing Mastercard assets, information, and networks.
  • Personnel must follow Mastercard security policies, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected violations or breaches, and complete mandatory security training.
