Overview
- Saned Health \| Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Full-time \| On-site with travel to client sites \| Senior Level (5+ years)
- 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵
- Saned Health is a Saudi healthcare information systems company building the digital backbone for hospitals and care providers across the Kingdom.
- Our Hospital Information System covers the full clinical and operational footprint of a modern hospital — patient registration, OPD, IPD, ER, OR, pharmacy, lab, radiology, billing, claims, and integrations with national platforms such as NPHIES.
- Our work directly supports clinicians, payers, and patients across Saudi Arabia's healthcare ecosystem.
- 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲
- We are looking for a Senior Implementation Specialist to lead the rollout of our HIS at hospital and clinic sites across the Kingdom.
- You will be the technical and functional bridge between our product, engineering, and clinical teams and the hospital's clinicians, administrators, and IT staff — owning the journey from kick-off through go-live and stabilization.
- This is a hands-on senior role that mixes functional configuration, light technical work, and stakeholder leadership.
- You will configure the system, train users, troubleshoot live issues, and coordinate with engineering on what needs to change in the product.
- Hospitals do not stop running while we go live.
- This is not a slide-deck job — it is an in-the-room, on-the-ward, on-the-phone-at-2am-during-cutover job.
- In healthcare, a botched go-live can disrupt patient care.
- We need someone who has done this before, who plans for the worst, and who keeps clinicians, administrators, and engineers aligned when reality diverges from the plan.
- 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼
- 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
- Lead end-to-end HIS implementations at hospital and clinic sites — from discovery and gap analysis through configuration, UAT, training, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization
- Own the implementation plan: scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success criteria, working closely with the project manager and product team
- Run discovery and requirements workshops with hospital stakeholders — medical directors, head nurses, pharmacy, lab, finance, IT, and front-desk staff
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into concrete system configurations and clear gap requests for engineering
- Set realistic expectations with clients on what is configurable, what requires development, and what is out of scope — and hold the line
- 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽
- Configure the HIS to match each site's organizational structure, departments, services, fee schedules, formularies, clinical templates, and reporting needs
- Set up master data: providers, payers, contracts, pricing, drug catalogs, lab tests, ICD-10/CPT mappings, room/bed configurations
- Define and configure user roles, access rights, and approval workflows aligned with the hospital's policies
- Configure clinical workflows across OPD, IPD, ER, OR, pharmacy, lab, and radiology to match each site's operating model
- Build and validate reports, dashboards, and operational KPIs requested by the hospital
- 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
- Plan and execute data migration from legacy systems — patient demographics, medical records, financials, master data — in coordination with engineering and the client's IT team
- Coordinate integrations with NPHIES, payers, lab/radiology systems, pharmacy systems, and other third-party applications
- Validate integration test scenarios end-to-end before go-live: eligibility, prior authorization, claims, results delivery, and event flows
- Define and run data validation, reconciliation, and cutover checklists
- 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
- Design and deliver training programs for clinical and administrative users in both Arabic and English, tailored to each role
- Build training materials — user guides, quick reference cards, video walkthroughs, and train-the-trainer kits
- Identify and coach hospital-side champions who will sustain the system after go-live
- Anticipate change resistance and work with hospital leadership to address it early
- 𝗚𝗼-𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
- Plan and run go-live cutover events, including command-center setup, hyper-care coverage rosters, and rollback contingencies
- Provide on-site hyper-care during the critical post-go-live window — triaging issues, training the long tail of users, and adjusting configuration in real time
- Track, prioritize, and close out post-go-live issues with engineering and support
- Lead lessons-learned reviews and feed them back into the product and the implementation playbook
- 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
- Ensure each implementation aligns with CBAHI, JCI, MOH, and NPHIES requirements
- Maintain implementation artifacts — configuration documents, decision logs, sign-offs, training attendance, UAT results — to support hospital and external audits
- Champion data privacy and PHI handling discipline at every step of the rollout
- 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿
- 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱
- 5+ years implementing HIS, EMR, EHR, or large clinical/operational hospital systems — with at least one full hospital go-live owned end-to-end
- Deep functional knowledge of hospital workflows: patient registration, OPD, IPD, ER, OR, pharmacy, lab, radiology, billing, and revenue cycle
- Saudi healthcare context: working knowledge of NPHIES transactions (eligibility, prior authorization, claims), MOH and CBAHI requirements, and the Saudi payer landscape
- Configuration mindset: you understand the difference between configuration and customization, and you know when to push back on a custom-build request
- Light technical fluency: comfortable reading SQL queries, understanding API/integration concepts, and writing clear technical specifications for engineering
- Stakeholder management: fluent in conversations with both a head of nursing and a head of IT, in the same meeting, in two languages
- Bilingual in Arabic and English — written and verbal
- Training delivery experience with clinical end users at scale, not just slide deck production
- Willingness to travel to hospital sites across the Kingdom and to be on-site through cutover and hyper-care
- Calm under pressure: you have stood in a command center at go-live when things went wrong and kept the room steady
- 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲
- Clinical or healthcare administration background (nursing, pharmacy, health informatics, hospital management)
- Experience with NPHIES integration projects on either the provider or payer side
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, and DRG concepts
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) or formal change management training (Prosci, ADKAR)
- Experience with revenue cycle management (RCM) implementations
- Prior experience implementing in JCI- or CBAHI-accredited environments
- 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸
- You listen first. Hospitals are complex social systems, not just process diagrams — you understand the people before you change the workflow
- You document. Decisions, configuration choices, and sign-offs are part of the deliverable, not optional artifacts
- You manage scope honestly. You say no early rather than late, and you offer a path forward when you do
- You raise risks early and constructively, even when the news is unwelcome
- You treat clinicians as the experts in their domain — your job is to make their work safer and easier, not to lecture them on software
- 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿
- A meaningful mission — your work directly affects patient care across Saudi Arabia
- Ownership of full hospital implementations — not just one module or one work-stream
- Direct visibility with hospital executives, clinical leadership, and our own engineering and product teams
- Competitive salary, benefits, travel allowances, and learning budget
- Support for relevant certifications (PMP, healthcare informatics, change management)
