Senior ICT & Security Engineer - ( 260000D1 ) Description Purpose of Job As a Senior ICT & Security Consultant with Stantec, you will have an interest in developing detailed design solutions and for the delivery of a range of exciting Information Communications Technology, Security, and Audio-Visual projects. In this role you can expect to; * Work as part of a local and national ICT & security consulting team on a diverse range of projects. * Coordinate communications provider (Telstra, NBN, etc.)
for the project team. * Lead the Design and documentation of ICT and Security systems ranging from structured cabling systems, High Density Data Centre Optical fibre interconnects, core network infrastructure, Wireless Networks, IPTV, audio-visual systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, CCTV, electronic access control, intruder alarm, intercom and Cyber Security systems. * Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and partner with internal and external clients; * Participate in site investigations and utilise strong report writing and verbal communication skills; * Work under the general direction of a senior engineer * Assist with preparing proposals and cost estimates. * Work is completed under general supervision. * Hold and maintain relevant professional qualifications. Essential Functions * Lead ICT and Security engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects. * Perform calculations to analyze and design ICT and Security system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software. * Lead in the evaluation and selection of ICT and Security systems and materials and the development of specifications. * Lead the development of ICT and Security systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. * Lead in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables. * Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent. * Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules. * Lead in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks. * Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions. * Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. * Lead in value engineering and cost estimating to support engineering projects. * Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff. * Relevant Tertiary Qualification in ICT, Security, Communications or AV related field of study * Eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance The Stantec community unites approximately 34,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
