About the Role
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior HSEW Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves monitoring contractor HSE performance, conducting site inspections, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to and implement AtkinsRéalis internal HSE management system requirements and procedures for site team
- Monitor compliance of all WSA staff with applicable safety standards and company procedures
- Monitor, assess and report on Contractor and Sub Contractors HSE compliance
- Conduct and coordinate regular safety training for WSA staff
- Carry out daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff and highlight findings
- Issue Safety Enforcement Notices (SEN) as per applicable procedure
- Review and comment on Contractors HSE Plans, risk assessments and work method statements
- Conduct accident and incident investigations for AtkinsRéalis staff
- Chair weekly safety meetings where required with Contractor and other parties
- Prepare and maintain AtkinsRéalis HSE registers
Requirements
- Minimum HSE qualifications with NEBOSH Diploma/IGC
- Lead auditor course (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001)
- Professional membership from IIRSM/IOSH preferred
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Experience in site supervision consultant
- Middle East experience mandatory

Overview
- AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior HSEW Engineer.
Your role
- Adhere to and implement AtkinsRéalis internal HSE management system requirements and procedures for AtkinsRéalis site team.
- Adhere to project HSE requirements and implement this to AtkinsRéalis team.
- Monitor the compliance of all WSA staff with the applicable safety standards and company's procedures.
- Monitor, assess and report on Contractor and Sub Contractors HSE compliance with the project HSE requirements.
- Immediately bring to the attention of the AtkinsRéalis PM the critical and outstanding safety issues.
- Conduct and coordinate regular safety training for WSA staff.
- Carry out daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff and highlight findings.
- Issue Safety Enforcement Notices (SEN) as per applicable AtkinsRéalis SEN procedure.
- Follow up with the Contractor on outstanding HSE issues, including SENs.
- Review and comment of the Contractors HSE Plans, risk assessments and work method statements.
- Develop and update AtkinsRéalis HSE documents (the Safety File).
- Conduct accident and incident investigations for AtkinsRéalis staff.
About you
- Minimum HSE qualifications with NEBOSH Diploma/IGC.
- Lead auditor course (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).

- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English essential.
- Will be capable of working on their own or within/leading a small team.
