Junior Hse Officer
A Junior HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Officer supports the implementation of workplace safety procedures and ensures compliance with company and legal HSE requirements, especially in construction, joinery, manufacturing, or fit-out projects.
Health & Safety Monitoring
- Conduct daily site safety inspections
- Identify hazards and unsafe practices
- Ensure workers follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Monitor housekeeping and safe work conditions
Compliance & Documentation
- Assist in implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Maintain safety records, reports, and inspection checklists
- Prepare toolbox talk records and attendance sheets
- Support permit-to-work documentation
Training & Awareness
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Educate workers on safe work practices
- Promote HSE awareness on site
Incident Reporting
- Assist in reporting accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Participate in incident investigations
- Help implement corrective and preventive actions
Emergency Preparedness
- Support fire drills and emergency response activities
- Ensure fire extinguishers and first aid kits are available and inspected
- Coordinate during emergencies when required
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and company standards
- Monitor lifting activities, hot works, work at height, and confined space activities
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety standards
- Good observation and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prepare reports and documentation
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of UAE HSE regulations is an advantage
- Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
