Senior HS&E Advisor, Infrastructure

Role overview

Essential responsibilities

• Support hazard assessments to identify and control unsafe conditions and behaviours.
• Participate in inspections, focus audits, and corrective action verification.
• Collect incident, inspection, and audit data and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Advise operations management and subcontractors on HS&E systems and project requirements.
• Support subcontractor management program implementation.
• Create incident notifications and participate in investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Support occupational injury and illness management and monitor return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant HS&E, trade, or industry experience.
• High school diploma.
• Thorough understanding of OHS programs, policies, and requirements.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and aptitude for learning computer software systems.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Ability to explain information, persuade others, and solve standard problems through analysis.

Preferred qualifications

• Degree in occupational health and safety, or completion of NCSO or CSO.
• Actively pursuing CRSP, CSP, or another HS&E professional designation.

Working conditions

• This is a site-based position in Whitby, Ontario.
• Walking and other physical effort are required.

Compensation

• The expected base pay range is $90,900–$121,200.
• Individual base pay depends on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location.
