- The Senior Hairstylist is responsible for delivering expert hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments, while ensuring an exceptional client experience.
- This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership in mentoring junior staff, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, staying up to date on industry trends, and promoting retail sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional haircuts, coloring, styling, blow dries, and specialized treatments (e.g., keratin, extensions, balayage).
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products.
- Ensure all hair services meet the salon’s quality and client satisfaction standards.
- Maintain the highest level of sanitation for all tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow local health and safety regulations and salon policies.
- Greet clients warmly and create a professional, welcoming environment.
- Provide professional advice on hair care, styling, and maintenance.
- Address and resolve client concerns professionally.
- Educate clients on hair care products and recommend suitable retail items.
- Actively promote salon services, special promotions, and membership programs.
- Mentor and support junior hairstylists and apprentices.
Performance Metrics & Expectations
- Reaching sales expectations pertaining to service, retail and membership targets.
- Ensuring additional KPIs such as rebookings, upsells, utilization and average service ticket are met.
- Actively participate in training and stay updated on hair industry trends.
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
- Adapt to changing schedules, peak business hours, and client needs.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and independently.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
- Consistently provide a friendly, welcoming, and professional client experience.
- Always maintain a polished, professional appearance in line with salon standards.
Work Schedule & Expectations
