Senior Full Stack Java Developer - Vice President

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight across applications, systems, and development areas.
• Review proposed technical solutions and contribute to application development strategies.
• Develop knowledge of business integration and provide judgment in complex situations.
• Ensure procedures are followed and help define standards.
• Negotiate with external parties when necessary.
• Assess risk and safeguard the firm, clients, and assets.
• Drive compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
• Supervise activities, create accountability, and report control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant financial services industry experience.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or React.
• RESTful API development using frameworks such as Spring.
• Event-driven systems, microservices, and micro-frontend UI experience.
• AWS and distributed systems experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and S3.
• Test-driven development, clean code, data structures, algorithms, and SQL proficiency.
• Senior applications development experience with leadership, stakeholder, people management, and project management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Investment banking or financial services industry experience is preferred.

Salary Information

• The listed full-time salary range is $142,320 to $213,480.
• Eligible employees may also receive incentive, retention, and benefits offerings.

• The stated primary location is Jersey City, New Jersey, United States.
