Role overview
Bell’s Technology Services Applied AI team builds, ships, and integrates AI agents and automation into enterprise systems.
The Senior Forward-Deployed AI Engineer owns engagements from problem scoping through production delivery.
The role includes mentoring an early-career engineer and may include ownership of evaluation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Embed with transformation squads and lead agentic software development builds.
- Select approaches across rules, automation, classical machine learning, and GenAI agents.
- Design and ship production-grade AI agents and automation integrated with enterprise platforms.
- Recognize when bespoke modeling is needed and route work to the central data science team.
- Mentor and pair with an early-career engineer.
Critical qualifications
- Production experience taking agentic applications, MCP servers, and multi-agent workflows from prototype to production.
- Experience designing and deploying AI systems on a major cloud platform.
- Experience building structured and unstructured data pipelines with vector databases and RAG architectures.
- Strong software engineering foundation in Python, APIs, and production enterprise integrations.
