Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry, heritage, wildfire planning and resource analysis.
We are currently looking to add a Mid-Level - Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Forest Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
- Lead all aspects of data management in the field and office
- Ensure legal, regulatory and client specific requirements are met with deliverables
- Effective supervision in the field and providing training for all crew members
Qualifications And Experience
- An above and beyond commitment to safety
- Education in forestry field with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree
- Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards)
- Experience with road and cut block layout within BC (minimum 4 years)
- Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cut blocks
- A firm understanding of forest policy, guidelines and BC’s regulations
- Experience in steep slope layout and deflection analysis, SP data collection and drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, surveys.
