Geospatial Data Analyst

• Domain knowledge of wildfire planning, prevention, and modelling: understanding of wildfire behavior and analysis, wildfire fuel types, community and landscape level wildfire planning (wildfire operations for suppression and tactical planning).
• Experience with wildfire exposure, vulnerability, and burn probability simulators including Prometheus, Cell2Fire, BurnP3+.
• Experience in developing, training, and validating ML/DL models to predict wildfire behavior, probability, and risk mapping by integrating climate data, historical fire perimeters, and real-time weather feeds.
• And finally, because we know we are asking a lot, we would like to see the following skills: solutions-oriented mindset, honesty and authenticity (even when times are tough), ability to tackle difficult problems, creative thinking, problem solving and someone who really, really likes being on a cool team.
• Current registrant or registrant in training as an FIT, RFT, RPF, PAg, AAg.
