About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct and ensure completion of food supplier audits against HACCP systems
- Provide support in fulfilling Authority objectives and ensure effective food safety services
- Facilitate disseminating operational information and data
- Provide quality technical information and advice on compliance issues
- Conduct investigations and initiate enforcement actions
- Contribute in sourcing new suppliers and evaluate their production hygiene
- Coordinate ongoing development of department's food safety program and internal audits
- Maintain registers, records, and documentation
- Work closely with other safety roles within the company
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant, 2 years GCC is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, FSMA, ISO 22000
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses
- Skill in conducting food safety audits and inspections
- Experience in providing training on food safety practices
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills

Job Summary
- The Senior Food Safety And Hygiene Officer is responsible for managing food and safety regulations by conducting compliance audits, inspections, investigations and verification reviews of food businesses.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Conduct and ensure completion of food supplier audits (against HACCP systems) identifying corrective actions
- Provide support in fulfilling Authority objectives in accordance with Branch work plan
- Facilitate disseminating operational information and data
- Provide quality technical information and advice on compliance issues
- Conduct investigations and initiate appropriate enforcement actions
- Contribute in sourcing new suppliers and evaluate their production hygiene
- Coordinate ongoing development of department's food safety program and compliance including internal audits
- Nurture good working relationships within and across departments
- Ensure all registers and records and documentation are properly maintained
- Work closely with other safety roles within the Company
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, FSMA, ISO 22000
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene principles, practices, and procedures
- Skill in conducting food safety audits and inspections
- Experience in providing training on food safety practices
