The Senior Financial Data Analyst in the Data Management team at SimCorp is responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support business decision-making. With typically 5+ years of experience in financial data analysis, this role involves overseeing the collection, validation, and reporting of financial data, ensuring that it meets high standards of accuracy, integrity, and compliance. The Senior Financial Data Analyst works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop reporting solutions, optimize data workflows, and drive improvements in financial data management processes.

This role combines deep financial data domain expertise with analytical and technical capabilities to support business decision-making, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. The role is primarily domain-focused (approximately 80%), requiring deep expertise in financial market data, reference data, and data governance, while technical skills (approximately 20%) are applied to enable automation, reporting, and data workflow optimization.

Lead the analysis of financial data, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities to support business objectives

Collaborate with business teams to define data requirements and ensure that financial data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with reporting needs

Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders

Oversee the collection, validation, and integration of financial data across systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency

Work with IT and data teams to optimize data workflows, improve data quality, and streamline reporting processes

Conduct data reconciliation to ensure that financial data aligns with internal and external reporting standards

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, data governance policies, and industry standards in all financial data activities

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, promoting best practices in financial data analysis and reporting

Drive process improvements in financial data management, implementing new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy

Stay up to date with developments in financial data analysis tools and techniques, recommending innovations to enhance data operations

Developing financial reporting dashboards and analytical solutions.

Collaborating with business and technology teams to optimize financial data workflows

Leading efforts to automate and enhance processes within financial data operations.

Supporting regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives.

Leading financial data analysis initiatives to support business decision-making and strategic planning

Developing and maintaining financial reporting solutions, including dashboards and data visualizations

Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of financial data used for reporting and analysis

Collaborating with IT and business teams to optimize financial data workflows

Mentoring junior financial analysts and ensuring continuous improvement in data analysis practices

Driving process improvements to streamline data management and reporting operations

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, data governance, and industry standards

The role requires working knowledge of technical tools that support financial data analysis, automation, and reporting.
