The Acute Care Alberta (ACA) Business Advisory Services team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our collaborative and high performing Finance team. Reporting to the Director, Business Advisory Services, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and advisory support across a broad range of programs and organizational initiatives. Working closely with operational leaders and key stakeholders, this role delivers strategic financial insights, supports informed decision making, and contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives. As a member of the ACA Business Advisory Services team, you will contribute to a variety of financial and operational initiatives that support both strategic priorities and day to day business needs. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and problem solving skills, excel in a dynamic environment, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing priorities while delivering high quality results.
Description:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will coordinate and/or prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports, along with providing interpretation of analyses and reports to support business and external requirements. Your work will be focused on budgets, forecasting, recommendations for program and/or cost efficiencies and development or enhancements to processes and controls. In addition, you will coordinate and monitor progress of financial projects, as well as coach and guide other department staff such as Financial Analysts.

Post secondary degree specializing in accounting or related field (e.g. economics, statistics).
Intermediate MS Excel skills. Minimum of four (4) years of accounting or financial experience. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to think and act strategically and systematically. Work with minimum supervision. Ability to meet defined deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Professional accounting/ finance designation or MBA. Financial experience in a Health Care environment. Strong working knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion applications. Experience with Power BI software. Experience providing financial advice to leadership positions.
