Role Overview

- Position Summary:
- The successful candidate will play a key role in payroll accounting and the preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations, while supporting the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements and financial highlights. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements, sound professional judgment, and the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain effective internal controls
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and posting of payroll-related journal entries, ensuring entries are accurate, completed on time, and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Perform monthly payroll variance analysis, identify key drivers and trends, and work with Human Resources and other stakeholders to investigate, resolve, and communicate significant variances.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations of salary and benefit general ledger accounts to the payroll register, ensuring reconciling items are promptly investigated, appropriately resolved, and clearly documented.
