Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal Ready to Wear (RTW) collections based on market trends, customer preferences, and brand identity
- Create design concepts, mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and specifications
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and materials to create commercially successful collections
- Collaborate with pattern makers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and quality standards
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and garment modifications
- Ensure timely completion of collections according to production schedules
- Monitor product quality and provide recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to support product launches
- Maintain accurate design documentation and technical packs
- Stay updated with industry developments, fashion trends, and competitor activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in fashion design, with significant experience in Ready to Wear (RTW) collections
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and commercial fashion design expertise
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, pattern making, and production processes
- Excellent sketching, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Experience working with apparel manufacturing and production teams is preferred
