Position Overview
ViTO is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with strong technical expertise in storage tank and pressure vessel design, engineering, and execution.
The advertised locations are Mumbai, India, and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role supports oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, and energy projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead engineering for fixed-roof, floating-roof, low-pressure, refrigerated, and cryogenic storage tanks.
- Lead engineering for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and columns.
- Review mechanical calculations, specifications, datasheets, drawings, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with API, EN, and ASME standards as applicable.
- Support tender, FEED, detailed engineering, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
- Review vendor designs, support technical bid evaluations, and coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Address materials, welding, NDE, PWHT, testing, fabrication, erection, and constructability requirements.
- Lead design reviews, resolve engineering and site execution issues, and interface with clients, consultants, and vendors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas or petrochemical engineering experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on design experience with aboveground storage tanks and pressure vessels.
- Practical knowledge of API 650, API 620, and ASME Section VIII Division 1 or Division 2.
- Experience with fixed-roof, floating-roof, refrigerated, and cryogenic tanks.
- Strong understanding of materials, welding, NDE, PWHT, and fabrication.
- EPC, pressure-vessel manufacturing, or specialist tank engineering experience is preferred.
- GCC experience and familiarity with client specifications are advantageous.
Software Experience
- Hands-on experience with PV Elite or COMPRESS for pressure vessels.
- Experience with AMETank, TANK, or equivalent software for API storage tanks.
- ANSYS or equivalent FEA software experience is advantageous.
Applicable Standards
- Relevant standards include API 650, API 620, API 625, EN 14620, ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2, and API 653.
