Scribd is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for its Content Foundations team.
Content Foundations owns the platform through which documents are uploaded, understood, transformed, and served to customers and AI systems.
The role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and roadmap partnership for a real-time, AI-native ingestion platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision and strategy for content ingestion and make architectural decisions for a live, high-scale platform.
- Integrate AI so documents are understood, trusted, enriched, and ready for readers and AI agents.
- Partner with Product on the supply-side roadmap and turn platform capabilities into product outcomes.
- Hire, lead, grow, and inspire backend and AI data engineers while shaping culture and technical standards.
- Manage roadmap priorities and commitments for teams across the content organization.
- Champion secure handling of untrusted content, data protection, reliability, observability, and on-call health.
- Influence product and engineering leaders across trust and safety, content understanding, supply, and AI platform teams.
