Senior Engineer - Ventilation

Dugald River mine is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017.

The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023 the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine’s power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition.

Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.

Support the Dugald River operations in delivering their budget and strategic objectives by providing timely and deep expertise in mine ventilation designs - including interaction with Mine operations and other group functions.

The role is available on a FIFO (Brisbane or Townsville) or bus-in bus-out basis (BIBO) from the Cloncurry or Mount Isa Districts. The role will operate on an 8/6 roster.

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Ventilation, Mining Engineering or related discipline

Ventilation Officer Certificate of Competency QLD – desirable or willing to obtain

An unwavering commitment to workplace safety.

Experience in Underground metalliferous mine ventilation design, simulation, survey, monitor and reporting.
