We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Risk to join a Global Markets Risk Services team in Abu Dhabi.

  • 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and enhance risk systems and processes across Global Markets
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable risk solutions
  • Analyze and resolve production issues and change requests
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including FRTB, SA-CCR, and EMIR
  • Contribute to the strategic roadmap for risk technology transformation
  • 🔹 Preferred Profile:
  • 7–10+ years of experience in risk technology within banking/financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of market risk, credit exposure, and regulatory risk frameworks
  • Experience supporting large-scale risk platforms
  • Strong knowledge of front-to-back Global Markets processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Purpose Of Job

The Senior Engineer will be a key contributor within the Global Markets Risk Service team, supporting the delivery and enhancement of risk systems and processes.

This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant solutions are in place to meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Tasks

· Collaborate with the Risk Service Lead and other team members to implement and support risk solutions across Global Markets. · Analyze and resolve issues and change requests related to risk systems, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. · Contribute to the development and execution of a multi-year roadmap for risk technology enhancements. · Support automation initiatives and process improvements aimed at increasing team efficiency and reducing operational costs. · Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements such as EMIR Initial Margin, SA CCR, FRTB, etc. · Assist in maintaining and enhancing KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement

Job Knowledge & Experience

· 7–10 years of experience in supporting and developing systems for risk teams within Global Markets. · Strong understanding of risk functions and systems including credit exposures, VaR, SIMM, FRTB, etc. · Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting risk functions (e.g., EMIR, SA-CCR, FRTB). · Experience in implementing and supporting risk solutions in large financial institutions. · Solid knowledge of Global Markets products and front-to-back processes.

Qualifications And Skills

· The candidate should possess either a postgraduate degree or qualification in Information Systems / Engineering / Business Administration. · The candidate should carry a minimum relevant work experience in a Bank or I.T.

Company for a minimum of 10 years. · Good understanding of the financial markets, trading and banking solutions · Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to influence decision and make an impact · Candidate must display strong verbal and written communication skills · Experience in Murex system is a must

🎓 Qualification:

Postgraduate degree or qualification in Information Systems / Engineering / Business Administration preferred.
