As a Senior Reman Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting Komatsu’s REMAN business by leading engineering activities that improve component reuse, develop innovative repair solutions and deliver high standards of safety, performance and environmental sustainability.
This is a national-focused engineering role where you’ll contribute to increasing the volume and efficiency of REMAN operations, reducing rebuild costs and supporting the expansion of REMAN facilities, product development and strategic R&D initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for developing and releasing technical repair and reusability criteria, including welding, spraying and salvage processes. You’ll also design and validate transport stands, lifting equipment, jigs, fixtures and custom tooling to improve safety, repeatability and efficiency across REMAN manufacturing processes.
Working closely with production, engineering, compliance teams, global REMAN centres, Komatsu factories and OEM partners, you’ll also support failure investigations, corrective actions, technical documentation, CapEx planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 6 years’ engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a REMAN, heavy equipment, mining or manufacturing environment
Proven experience in repair and salvage engineering, including failure analysis, welding repair, component reusability assessments and root cause investigations
Hands-on experience designing and developing tooling, jigs, fixtures and transportation stands for manufacturing or rebuild processes
Strong understanding of Australian Standards relating to mechanical engineering, lifting equipment and transport compliance
Experience using 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Creo, for design and documentation
Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality systems, including ISO 9001
RPEQ certification or eligibility to attain RPEQ
A strong commitment to safety, sustainability, quality and continuous improvement
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, production, compliance, global REMAN teams and external partners
