Role Overview
Arcadis is recruiting a Senior Engineer – Rail Structures for technical work on rail and bridge projects.
The role is predominantly technical and involves complex projects, multidisciplinary coordination, and delivery for UK projects.
The posting includes a hybrid work indicator.
Qualifications and Experience
- BE in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Structures with more than 10 years of bridge-design consulting experience.
- Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE is preferred, or candidates may be actively pursuing chartership.
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ROBOT, MIDAS, LUSAS, or SOFiSTiK.
- Experience with British Standards, Eurocodes, Network Rail Standards, and Rail Group Standards.
- Experience designing steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, and composite structures.
- Experience designing and assessing rail bridges, including load-rating calculations.
- Experience preparing general arrangement and reinforcement drawings, quantity computations, and design reports.
- Ability to manage and implement BIM and digital aspects through all project phases.
- Ability to work independently or with groups and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
