Role overview
Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Engineer – ELV, ICT & Security for its Mumbai-based team.
The role focuses on complex ELV, ICT, telecommunications, and security-system design for the built environment.
The position requires understanding of risk mitigation planning and technical troubleshooting.
Core responsibilities
- Design and engineer BMS solutions controlling and monitoring ventilation, air conditioning, power, fire, and access-control systems.
- Design ICT and telecommunications systems including active and passive networks, campus backbone cabling, structured cabling, IP telephony, and wireless data networks.
- Develop telecom, security, and ELV network architectures, including selection of switches and routers.
- Prepare design basis reports, network architectures, input/output schedules, control logic diagrams, tender documents, specifications, equipment schedules, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, designers, and other disciplines on system configurations and ELV layouts.
- Review technical bids, vendor data sheets, shop drawings, vendor documents, and proposed design changes or non-conformances.
- Attend coordination and design-review meetings.
