Role Overview
The role requires 8–12 years of experience in basic and detailed electrical engineering design for combined-cycle and substation projects.
The engineer will coordinate technical reviews, multidisciplinary design activities, client and contractor meetings, and project engineering work.
Technical Review Responsibilities
- Review electrical equipment sizing, specifications, technical datasheets, technical bid evaluations and vendor documents.
- Review GIS, switchyard, power transformer, busduct, MV and LV switchgear, MCC, EDG, DC, UPS, cable, generator circuit breaker and lighting systems.
- Review SLDs, protection and metering diagrams, switchgear schemes, logic diagrams, relay settings, protection coordination and cable sizing.
- Review raceway, lighting, grounding, lightning protection and switchyard layouts.
- Perform or review ETAP electrical system studies covering short circuit, load flow, motor starting and voltage drop calculations.
Coordination and Project Support
- Participate in meetings with clients and contractors as required.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil and Commissioning teams.
- Plan, develop, schedule and coordinate electrical review engineering work on multidisciplinary projects.
