About the Role
LODD Autonomous seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to design, develop, and integrate high-voltage electrical systems into hybrid eVTOL UAV architecture. The role involves systems engineering per ARP4754B, functional safety assessments, and hands-on testing.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and integrate high voltage electrical systems into hybrid eVTOL UAV architecture, overseeing power distribution, circuit protection, and full scale system integration
- Translating regulatory rules into engineering requirements and driving them through to final certification
- Definition of the Means of Compliance (MoC) for the aircraft's electrical power systems, power conversion, and high voltage distribution networks
- Apply systems engineering processes per ARP4754B: develop and maintain system requirements, define electrical system architecture, and lead verification and validation activities
- Perform and review functional safety assessments, including FHA, SSA, FTA, and FMEA
- Author, review, and execute compliance documents, test plans, and test reports in accordance with aerospace guidelines including ARP4754B, DO 160G, DO 254, DO 311A, and DO 178C
- Participate in hands on testing of the relevant systems in a high voltage laboratory environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5–8 years of engineering experience in aerospace or high safety automotive environments
- Demonstrated experience on certified aviation programs (e.g. under CS 23, CS 27, SC E 19, SC VTOL, or equivalent)
- Direct experience with high voltage DC architectures, high voltage batteries, and electric propulsion units
- Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
- Deep understanding of DO 178C, DO 254, DO 160G, DO 311A, and aerospace hardware development/qualification processes
- Practical application of ARP4754B systems engineering lifecycle is strongly preferred

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of engineering experience in aerospace or high safety automotive environments, with demonstrated experience on certified aviation programs (e.g. under CS 23, CS 27, SC E 19, SC VTOL, or equivalent).
- Direct experience with high voltage DC architectures, high voltage batteries, and electric propulsion units.
- Exceptional technical writing and communication skills. Structured working culture in a multidisciplinary team.
- Deep understanding of DO 178C, DO 254, DO 160G, DO 311A, and aerospace hardware development/qualification processes.
- Practical application of ARP4754B systems engineering lifecycle (requirements capture, architecture definition, V&V planning) is strongly preferred.
