Senior Electrical Engineer

Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, standards, and specifications.
• Design electrical and communications systems for industrial, residential, and commercial facilities.
• Coordinate with project managers, participants, and senior engineers to improve project methods and profitability.
• Recommend alternative solutions to engineering problems.
• Conduct site inspections when required.
• Interpret client needs and represent clients in the field.
• Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions.
• Lead work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineer must be DEWA approved.
• Minimum five years of MEP contracting knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of electrical engineering design and analysis.
• Ability to prepare load schedules and single-line diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with accuracy in calculations and design.
• Ability to work independently on assigned scopes.

Education and preferred qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A valid UAE driving license is a plus.
• Five years of Electrical Engineer experience is listed as preferred in the education and experience section, while the requirements section states a minimum of five years of MEP contracting experience.
