Position Overview
The position is Senior Electrical Design Engineer focused on architectural and building design projects.
The work location is Abu Dhabi, with working hours of Monday to Friday and 48 hours per week.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 12 years of engineering design experience in architectural and building design projects is required.
- At least 8 years of the experience must be on projects within the GCC.
- Proven experience in architectural and electrical design projects and calculations is required.
- A graduate electrical engineering or similar engineering qualification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
- DIALux, ETAP, Revit/BIM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge or experience is advantageous.
Job Essentials
- Prepare electrical design calculations and drawings for projects and authority submissions.
- Develop concept and detailed designs for electrical and structured cabling systems.
- Ensure calculations follow applicable authority standards and codes of practice.
- Guide draftsmen, CAD technicians, and BIM technicians in producing drawings and models.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and other deliverables.
- Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated designs.
- Ensure compliance with UAE and Middle East authority requirements, international codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Assist with Revit-based MEP modelling and coordination.
- Coordinate with mechanical, interior design, architecture, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
