Position and schedule
Position: Project Manager (Design).
Work location stated in the description: Dubai.
Working schedule is Monday through Friday, 48 hours weekly, with Saturday and Sunday as weekly days off.
Education and experience
- Minimum 18 years of experience in infrastructure design projects within an engineering design and project-management consultancy environment.
- At least 10 years of experience on projects within the GCC.
- A degree from a recognized university is required.
- Professional Engineer registration is an added advantage.
- Design consultancy experience focused on municipality, public utilities, or national large-scale infrastructure projects is of particular interest.
Job essentials
- Lead project planning, project controls, design management, and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage technically complex projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate design activities across engineering disciplines.
- Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage changes to scope, budget, programme, and deliverables.
- Manage project risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure deliverables meet technical standards, authority requirements, specifications, and client expectations.
- Apply Dubai Municipality and DEWA standards and requirements to design development and project delivery.
