Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior EHS Engineer to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA on the night shift - 7:30pm - 5:30 am 4 days a week. This opportunity is due to growth in our largest US facility.
Under the leadership of the EHS manager, the Sr EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Starline’s Canonsburg facility is in compliance with all state, federal, DEP, and OSHA regulations regarding health and safety
Engage with site’s stakeholders to promote and drive a culture of EHS mindset
Maintain and enhance an existing Emergency Action Plan, Legal Register, and Risk Management System
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including job hazard analyses and process safety evaluations, to proactively identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
Run activities related to environmental compliance, reporting, regulatory permitting, hazardous waste handling, and waste reduction/recycling programs
Oversee maintenance of all safety records including the SDS database and OSHA 300 log
Monitor trends related to employee work-related injuries
Ensure compliance of the on-site wastewater treatment plant
Ensure all company vehicles are within Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance
Lead monthly safety meetings, reporting safety metrics, and departmental safety audits
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to identify and implement effective health and safety solutions during the design and launch of new products.
Demonstrate high standards of conduct and integrity
