Role Overview
- Senior Director Safety & OHH at Emirates Global Aluminium, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets out EGA's Safety and Governance strategy and framework.
- Directs implementation of functional strategy aligned with group strategy.
- Manages achievement of functional objectives through leadership and performance management.
- Oversees preparation and consolidation of functional budget.
- Develops company wide safety policies, processes, and procedures.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive governance framework for safety management.
- Leads and directs day to day safety operations across all EGA sites.
- Leads major incident investigations and oversees investigation reporting.
- Develops and implements comprehensive training programs aligned with international standards.
- Establishes and maintains standardized safety reporting systems across international operations.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in safety management and governance at a senior level.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of international safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in budgeting and financial performance monitoring.
