Kroll’s Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Cyber Threat Intelligence Embedded Advisor Program to lead the development, execution, and growth of a strategic intelligence advisory function embedded across Kroll’s Cyber & Data Resilience business.
This leadership role will be responsible for building and managing a team of Embedded Advisors who deliver intelligence-driven insights that enhance retainer services, support sales pursuits, strengthen client engagements, and drive measurable business growth.
The Senior Director will serve as the strategic leader of the program, ensuring threat intelligence capabilities are deeply integrated into Kroll’s proactive cybersecurity offerings.
This individual will oversee a team of intelligence professionals while partnering closely with Retainer Services, Advisory, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to translate intelligence into commercial value and differentiated client outcomes.
This role requires a unique blend of cyber threat intelligence expertise, leadership experience, business acumen, executive communication skills, and operational management capabilities.
Strategic Importance of the Embedded Advisor Program
The Cyber Threat Intelligence Embedded Advisor Program represents a critical strategic investment for Kroll and serves as a foundational capability supporting several key business growth initiatives.
Retainer 2.0 Support
Kroll’s Retainer Services business currently supports over 279 clients and generates approximately $17.2 million in annual revenue.
The Retainer 2.0 initiative seeks to expand this business to more than $22 million annually through enhanced client experiences and differentiated service offerings.
A key dependency for this growth strategy is the integration of Cyber Threat Intelligence into Gold and Platinum retainer memberships.
The Embedded Advisor Program will be responsible for:
Delivering quarterly intelligence reviews, threat briefings, and executive presentations.
Providing industry-specific intelligence reporting.
Supporting strategic cyber risk discussions with client executives and boards.
Developing intelligence products that increase client engagement and retention.
Training Retainer Services personnel to effectively utilize CTI resources and threat insights with Bronze and Silver clients.
Creating scalable intelligence frameworks that support growth without significantly increasing delivery costs.
Sales & Business Development Enablement
The Embedded Advisor Program will serve as a force multiplier for revenue growth by embedding intelligence into all stages of the client acquisition lifecycle.
The Senior Director will oversee the development of intelligence capabilities that help:
Differentiate Kroll during competitive pursuits.
Accelerate deal cycles through intelligence-driven awareness.
Increase proposal win rates.
Support strategic account expansion.
Demonstrate Kroll’s unique intelligence capabilities to prospective clients.
Embedded Advisors will partner directly with sales and advisory teams to provide intelligence-driven content, executive briefings, and sector-specific insights that align cyber risk with business objectives.
Program Leadership & Team Management
The Senior Director will be responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling the Embedded Advisor Program as a core strategic capability within Kroll’s CTI organization.
Responsibilities
include:
Build, lead, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Advisors and Embedded Intelligence Consultants.
Establish operational processes, governance models, and service delivery standards.
Define team objectives, delivery methodologies, and performance expectations.
Drive workforce planning and resource allocation across sales, advisory, and retainer engagements.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management of Embedded Advisors.
Develop succession plans and leadership pathways for program personnel.
Promote collaboration across Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, MDR, Advisory, and Retainer Services teams.
Serve as the senior escalation point for intelligence-related client engagements.
Client Advisory & Executive Engagement
The Senior Director will serve as a trusted executive advisor and strategic intelligence leader for key client relationships.
Responsibilities
include:
Deliver executive-level threat briefings and cyber risk presentations.
Participate in board-level and C-suite discussions.
Support strategic client engagements and retention activities.
Translate technical intelligence into business-focused risk discussions.
Advise clients on emerging threats, geopolitical developments, threat actor activity, and cyber risk trends.
Support high-value and strategic accounts requiring senior intelligence expertise.
Represent Kroll during executive workshops and cyber tabletop exercises.
Sales & Revenue Enablement Leadership
The Senior Director will be responsible for ensuring intelligence capabilities directly support business growth objectives.
Responsibilities
include:
Partner with Sales Leadership, Account Management, and Retainer leadership teams.
Develop intelligence-led sales support methodologies.
Lead support for strategic pursuits and high-value opportunities.
Guide production of intelligence content for:
RFP responses
Client presentations
Competitive positioning
Executive briefings
Deal acceleration activities
Establish intelligence metrics that demonstrate commercial impact.
Support account expansion and cross-selling opportunities.
Identify new revenue-generating CTI service opportunities.
Thought Leadership & Market Positioning
The Senior Director will contribute to Kroll’s reputation as a leader in intelligence-driven cyber risk management.
Responsibilities
include:
Represent Kroll during industry events, conferences, webinars, and executive forums.
Contribute to client-facing thought leadership initiatives.
Partner with Marketing and Business Development teams.
Enhance Kroll’s visibility as an intelligence-led cybersecurity provider.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Cyber Risk Advisory, or related cybersecurity disciplines.
5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Significant client-facing consulting or advisory experience.
Demonstrated experience leading executive and board-level cyber risk discussions.
Strong understanding of threat actors, attack methodologies, cybercrime ecosystems, and intelligence operations.
Experience
integrating intelligence into business strategy and client engagements.
Proven ability to influence revenue growth, client retention, and service development initiatives.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a global consulting, professional services, or cybersecurity organization.
Familiarity with cyber incident response investigations and breach analytics.
Experience
supporting pre-sales, business development, and strategic client pursuits.
Background developing intelligence products, advisory services, or managed offerings.
Experience
managing distributed or embedded teams across multiple business units.
Graduate degree or relevant industry certifications (GIAC, CISSP, GCTI, CISM, PMP, etc.).
