Role Description
Part-time, remote Senior Director role providing strategic leadership and oversight across PMLTC’s operational and business activities.
The role focuses on transmission-system strategy, performance, reliability, efficiency, regulatory compliance, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Guide long-term transmission-system strategy and review performance metrics.
- Provide direction on reliability, efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with executive and technical teams on operational and business priorities.
- Contribute to risk management and long-term investment decisions.
- Engage with partners, regulators, investors, and other external stakeholders.
- Mentor senior managers and support governance and policy development.
- Align organizational objectives with corporate and project-level commitments.
Qualifications
- Leadership and governance skills, including strategic planning, executive decision-making, and oversight of complex infrastructure projects.
- Technical understanding of power transmission systems, ideally HVDC or large-scale grid projects.
- Experience in energy, utilities, or large engineering projects, with familiarity with BOOT or similar public-private partnership frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management capability with regulators, investors, and cross-cultural partners.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational reports and guide risk management and investment decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, remote collaboration ability, and experience mentoring senior professionals.
- An advanced degree in engineering, energy management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent substantial experience may be considered.
- Senior or director-level experience in transmission, power systems, or major infrastructure organizations is highly beneficial.
