Role Overview

  • We are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist with a strong primary focus on SEM and performance marketing, and a working knowledge of SEO.
  • This is a client facing, individual contributor role.
  • The right candidate can confidently own Google Ads strategy and execution, communicate campaign performance to clients, and bring structured thinking around AI tools.

Responsibilities: SEM & Performance Marketing (Primary Focus)

  • Own and execute tentwenty's client’s Google Ads strategy across paid search, remarketing, display, and Performance Max campaigns.
  • Build, manage, and optimise advertising budgets to deliver measurable ROI for clients across industries.
  • Design full funnel customer journeys including landing page flows, ad sequencing, nurturing paths, and conversion tracking setups.
  • Write high performing ad copy aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives.
  • Run structured A/B tests across ads, creatives, and landing pages; translate findings into documented optimisation decisions.
  • Produce clear, well structured performance reports and present campaign insights to clients with confidence.
  • Stay current on SEM developments: AI assisted bidding, audience targeting changes, privacy updates, and platform shifts.
  • Collaborate with UX, design, and development teams to ensure landing page performance aligns with campaign intent.

SEO (Supporting Capability)

  • Support SEO audits, keyword gap analysis, and on site optimisation reviews where they intersect with paid strategy.
  • Contribute to technical SEO discussions particularly around tracking, indexation, and landing page health.
  • Understand local SEO fundamentals, including Google Business Profile and map pack visibility.
  • Coordinate with the internal SEO lead on accounts where SEM and SEO run in parallel.

AI Integration (Mandatory Capability)

  • Present specific, tested strategies for using AI to improve internal workflows: campaign planning, copy generation, audience research, and reporting automation.
  • Demonstrate how AI tools have been applied to improve client deliverables including presentations, performance summaries, and strategic recommendations.
  • Use AI responsibly and with editorial judgement.
  • Stay informed on emerging AI tools relevant to SEM and digital marketing.

Client Communication & Presentation

  • Fluent, professional written and spoken English.
  • Confident presentation skills: able to walk a client through campaign performance, strategic rationale, and next steps.
  • Able to translate complex data into plain language insights.
  • Experienced in preparing and delivering structured client reports, QBRs, and campaign review presentations.
  • Comfortable managing difficult conversations with composure and clarity.

Required Skills: Must Have

  • 8+ years of hands on digital marketing experience, with Google Ads as the primary channel.
  • Demonstrable track record managing Google Ads campaigns at scale, including budget ownership, bid strategy, and conversion optimisation.
  • Experience building high converting funnels, landing page flows, and nurturing sequences.
  • Fluent English written and spoken at a professional business standard.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience presenting performance data and strategy to clients directly.
  • Analytical mindset: able to interpret campaign data, identify meaningful trends, and translate them into clear recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles sufficient to contribute to integrated client conversations.
  • Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and at least one third party platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated, practical use of AI tools in a professional digital marketing context.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines independently.

Good to Have

  • Agency background — prior experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS or familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify).
  • Experience with multi language or multi market campaigns.
  • Google Ads or Google Analytics certifications.
  • Familiarity with CRM connected ecosystems or marketing automation platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • Case studies or demonstrable results from past SEM campaigns.
  • A specific example of AI tool integration in your workflow.
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or related platforms are a bonus.
