Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the design team by setting objectives, managing performance, and fostering a high performing culture
- Oversee design progress reporting, analytics, and risk management, identifying issues and implementing mitigation and value engineering strategies
- Direct technical design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, design briefs, systems engineering, BIM, GIS, innovation, and relevant standards
- Manage the design process from concept through construction documentation, coordinating consultants and ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Ensure all designs are fit for purpose, incorporating Safety in Design principles, quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and design sign off requirements
- Lead interface coordination among internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage impacts on project schedules, budgets, quality, and delivery outcomes
- Ensure design development aligns with approved cost plans, business objectives, operational requirements, and change management procedures
- Oversee the development of design and engineering Work Breakdown Structures and ensure deliverables support procurement, construction staging, project phasing, and successful project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline
- 12–15+ Years’ experience in multi disciplinary design management on large, complex developments
- Proven experience acting as a senior technical lead and managing multiple consultants and infrastructure packages
- Strong experience in design governance, assurance, and complex interface management

Project Overview
- This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia.
- This unique project consists of major mixed use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
- Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
You’ll be responsible for
- Lead and develop the design team by setting objectives, managing performance, and fostering a high performing culture aligned with organizational values and safety requirements.
- Oversee design progress reporting, analytics, and risk management, identifying issues and implementing mitigation and value engineering strategies.
- Direct technical design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, design briefs, systems engineering, BIM, GIS, innovation, and relevant standards.
- Manage the design process from concept through construction documentation, coordinating consultants and ensuring alignment with project objectives and ways of working.
- Ensure all designs are fit for purpose, incorporating Safety in Design principles, quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and design sign off requirements.

You’ll need to have
