Senior Demand-Side Management Practice Consultant

Role Overview

Solution Design and Accountability

• Lead end-to-end solution design for complex pursuits, including measure strategies, program structures, budgets, and pricing.
• Translate market, regulatory, and client needs into tailored program designs and defensible proposals.
• Maintain solution integrity from design through implementation and ensure solutions are feasible and scalable.
• Provide subject matter guidance for post-award design adjustments and strategic decisions.

Leadership and Capability Development

• Lead cross-functional teams across business development, delivery, engineering, product, IT, and marketing.
• Define and standardize solution design methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Market and Offering Strategy

• Maintain expertise in demand-side management, electrification, distributed energy resources, regulation, and evaluation.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to shape offerings and solution roadmaps.

Commercial Impact

• Contribute to revenue growth through winning solutions and competitive positioning.
• Support pricing strategies, cost modeling, financial analyses, pursuit strategy, and pipeline development.

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, electrification, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success designing and delivering complex energy programs or solutions.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and data interpretation skills using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Deep familiarity with regulated utility environments, filings, and evaluation frameworks.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and ability to deliver under tight timelines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shaping or scaling program offerings across multiple markets.
• Expertise in process design, workflow mapping, and operational optimization.
• Experience using advanced analytics or AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Background in engineering, economics, environmental science, Demand-Side Management programming, or related analytical disciplines.

Commercial Driving Requirements

• If applicable, meet Canadian commercial driver qualification, licensing, medical, safety, and compliance requirements.

Compensation

• Compensation range is CAD 50.70 to CAD 97.95 per hour.
