Role overview
Senior hands-on engineering role responsible for modern Microsoft data platforms across Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
Owns cloud data engineering, warehouse and lakehouse architecture, data integration, semantic consumption, and AI-ready data products.
Responsibilities
- Design and support enterprise Azure and Microsoft Fabric data solutions.
- Create Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, and hybrid warehouse architectures with layered data structures.
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, notebooks, APIs, files, and orchestration patterns.
- Design RAG workflows with chunking, embeddings, retrieval, grounding, prompts, citations, and evaluation.
- Implement responsible AI, security, privacy, observability, data quality, lineage, and governance controls.
- Use Git, CI/CD, automated testing, environment promotion, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost across data platforms.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders and provide reviews, documentation, templates, and mentoring.
Required qualifications
- At least seven years of professional data engineering, database engineering, data warehousing, or closely related experience.
- Hands-on production experience with Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric or equivalent technologies.
