Responsibilities
- Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server (2017/2019/2022/2025) environments
- Ensure high availability and reliability using AlwaysOn Availability Groups and clustering
- Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Implement database security best practices including TDE and access controls
- Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards
- Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments
- Collaborate with Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports
- Participate in 24x7 on call rotation for critical incidents and escalations
Requirements
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server (2017/2019/2022/2025) environments
- Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and clustering
- Knowledge of database security best practices including TDE and access controls
- Experience with patching tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, or equivalent
- Ability to analyze and remediate vulnerabilities from Qualys reports
- Willingness to participate in 24x7 on call rotation

- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
Security, Compliance & Hardening
- Implement database security best practices including TDE and access controls
- Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks
- Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls for databases
Patch & Vulnerability Management
- Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments
- Work with enterprise patching tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, or equivalent
- Maintain and document the patch execution tracker
- Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports
- Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams
- Support change management and release activities
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts
On Call Support
- Actively participate in 24x7 on call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations
- Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration
