Minimum Qualifications:
5–8 years of IT experience with at least 2+ years dedicated to Snowflake administration
Advanced SQL proficiency for complex data management, performance troubleshooting, and optimization
Shell scripting expertise for automating administrative workflows and operational tasks
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration patterns with Snowflake
Deep grasp of Snowflake architecture, credit models, data sharing mechanisms, and security governance frameworks
Proven ability to manage platform performance and cost at enterprise scale
Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies based on organizational requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Database Administrator certification
Experience designing and implementing RBAC hierarchies and governance models for large, multi-team organizations
Hands-on experience with disaster recovery testing, failover orchestration, and cross-region replication strategies
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) for Snowflake resource provisioning and management
Experience with CI/CD-driven database change management using dbt, Flyway, Schemachange, or similar tools
Track record of measurably reducing Snowflake credit consumption through optimization initiatives
Experience mentoring junior administrators or data engineers on Snowflake best practices
Background in mortgage, financial services, or another regulated industry
Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost governance frameworks
