Role Description
The Senior Data Scientist leads and oversees technical delivery of Arcadis digital and analytical solutions.
The role implements solutions that maximise the value of client data and solve complex business problems.
The position sits within Asset Management and the Solutions Delivery group, serving large asset-owning organisations.
Role Accountabilities
- Drive quality and innovation within data analytics solutions and improve standards, approaches, and tooling.
- Manage analytical projects to deliver on time, within budget, to high quality, and within scope.
- Build trusted relationships with client representatives throughout project delivery.
- Act as analytics solution architect and design reusable solutions that meet client needs.
- Manage project outputs and quality across all work packages.
- Peer review reports, dashboards, and code produced by colleagues.
- Coach Junior Data Scientists and Junior Analytics Consultants.
- Support technical sales, software demonstrations, proposals, scope changes, and revenue development.
- Present results, provide training, and support adoption of delivered solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience delivering analytical projects in a consultancy environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical detail to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to present methodologies and results at all levels in a business environment.
- Demonstrable skills in data collection and interpretation.
- Experience coaching technology professionals at various levels.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and navigate differing stakeholder perspectives.
- Understanding of investment models, assets, optimisation, prioritisation, and Monte Carlo analysis.
- Experience with predictive or prescriptive analytics and machine learning.
- Practical experience with mathematical and statistical analysis and modelling, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Demonstrable use of R, Python, Matlab, SAS, SPSS, or similar statistical packages.
- Experience with advanced data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Power BI, and open-source tools.
- Experience with Git, Docker, Azure, and Fabric.
