Role Overview
Senior Data Engineer responsible for development deliverables for the Finance Data Platform.
The platform uses Airflow and Databricks to manage finance datasets and support ingestion, enrichment, reconciliation, analytics, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Work with product and development leaders to select technical solutions for business requirements and project objectives.
- Perform detailed design and development for project initiatives.
- Identify, track, and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure solutions align with data and architecture strategy.
- Provide technical documentation, reference documentation, and training.
- Support production troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Coordinate testing and verification with Quality Engineering.
- Mentor other team members and share technical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of total experience, including at least 3 years with Spark, big data, Databricks, Airflow, and DBT.
- Solid experience with Hadoop, Hive, ETL, data pipelines, or another big-data platform.
- Experience with Windows, Unix, or Linux operating systems.
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related technology discipline.
