Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for migration from relational databases to cloud platforms.
• Write and optimize SQL for extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Analyze database structures and create source-to-target migration mappings.
• Design and implement data models in the target cloud environment.
• Develop and maintain Apache Airflow DAGs for automated pipelines and migration workflows.
• Use Python for transformation, automation, validation, and migration tasks.
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud data platforms and cloud databases or warehouses.
• Use Apache Spark/PySpark and Hadoop for large-scale processing when required.
• Collaborate with database, cloud, analytics, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of solid data engineering experience.
• Good SQL and Python skills with ELT/ETL, data modeling, Spark, and workflow orchestration experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud data platform and data lake or lakehouse design.
• Git and basic CI/CD knowledge.
• Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to travel within Europe once every two months for approximately two to three days.
