Responsibilities
- Be the go to data expert for business decision support: conduct problem research, deep dive analysis, apply advanced analytics and ML techniques
- Lead strategic projects: tackle complex challenges and enable data solutions using analytics, automation, BI, forecasting, and simulations
- Design and implement experiments to influence customer experience
- Develop and maintain scalable reporting and machine learning models for self serve insights
- Build deep understanding of stakeholder needs, guide through complexity, and influence decisions
- Mentor and inspire fellow analysts through knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and brainstorming
Requirements
- 4+ years of senior analytics experience executing enterprise analytics initiatives in a retail setting
- Mastery of SQL (including optimization), Python (data prep, analysis, ML, automation), and Power BI (data modeling, DAX, M, dashboard UX)
- Experience breaking down complex business problems into actionable data solutions using statistical methods, modeling, or machine learning
- Experience partnering with diverse stakeholders and making complex data concepts clear

Role Overview
- Best Buy Canada is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for a 12 month fixed term contract.
- You will work with business leaders and cross functional teams to harness data, deliver actionable insights, and drive strategy.
- Remote first working model with in person interactions at head office in Vancouver for strategic purposes.
What you’ll do
- Be the go to data expert for business decision support: conduct problem research, deep dive analysis, apply advanced analytics and ML techniques.
- Lead strategic projects: tackle complex challenges and enable data solutions using analytics, automation, BI, forecasting, and simulations.

Annualized Compensation Range
- CAD 95,000 CAD 105,000 starting pay based on skills and experience.
